Earth Restoration Service (ERS) is a UK Registered Charity No. 1118951. Our goal is to transform the current concern for environmental degradation into positive action, inspiring the worlds citizens to play their part in restoring the natural health of their own environments.
The School Tree Nurseries Programme aims to empower schools to take a practical and educational role in restoring their local communities. We are currently working with schools all over the UK and throughout the world to restore their local communities. The Restore the Earth Campaign was launched this year and it is about increasing your positive ecological handprint. The campaign aims to sign up 1 million handprints and start a movement to Restore the Earth.
The charity, in conjunction with a BBC Director has created a short film, narrated by Joanna Lumley, illustrating two characters Freddy Footprint and Harry Handprint which is being utilised in educational settings.
In addition, the signature programme of the charity is the School Tree Nurseries Programme where children plant out trees in their schools and then when mature into degraded areas to complete the cycle of restoration. These two assets form powerful tools for schools to utilise that want to join the movement to Restore the Earth.
The campaign is run on a Twitter based platform using innovative Artificial Intelligence programming so that we can communicate by asking people the question: What are you doing for the Earth? Communication can be followed up to the end point of restoration. A recent example of a handprint is a woman from London who pledged to clean up a local river. We have now arranged for her to work alongside the Thames River Restoration charity to carry out river restoration.
The positive actions together will form the Community Handprint from which achievements and results of active restoration can be displayed and monitored.
As a charity aiming to sign up 1 million handprints and to get people active in restoration worldwide and via the School Tree Nursery Programme, we are in need of support to fulfil these objectives either in the form of partnership/joint collaboration, or on a donation basis.
Please help us to achieve our goals in getting 1 million people active - the charity needs your help.
