For 20 years, the Jazz Foundation of America has been dedicated to saving the jazz and blues musicians who make our world richer through their music. Every day, we work to fill needs in times of crisis: our Housing Fund enables us to pay rents to hold off eviction, and our Emergency Fund helps to ensure that the electricity stays on and food remains on the table. We save lives through our partnership with Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and offer legal assistance through pro bono attorneys. Further, we help to reestablish a musicians’ sense of dignity and purpose through employment with our Agnes Varis Jazz in the Schools program, which brings music to schools, nursing homes and hospitals throughout the country. As we grow, we continue to assist, as always, by “saving jazz and blues, one musician at a time.”
