Community nurses are the unsung heroes of healthcare. They care for millions of people of all ages every year. We will all need the help of a community nurse one day, for ourselves or our families.
Yet community nursing is stretched as never before, and our work with these nurses is both urgent and essential if the quality of care in the home is to be protected.
The Queen's Nursing Institute (QNI) is the charity that aims to ensure high quality nursing care in the home.
We improve nursing in the home and community by:
• Developing a community of ‘Queen’s Nurses’ who are committed to high standards of care and who can act as leaders and role models to others
• Influencing policies in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland that affect healthcare in the home and the quality of community nursing services
By supporting local nurses, we improve the health care that you receive in your community.
