Race for Life is Cancer Research UK's flagship event, with over 230 events taking place across the UK. Funds raised will go towards supporting research into many aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,800 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK.

A hearty salad of facts, but I'd like you all to know: Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK. Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run 5k to help beat cancer. Some take part in celebration of surviving a cancer experience. Others take part in memory of a loved one or to give hope to a cancer-free future. But all of them share a common goal: to raise money for Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work to beat cancer. Every pound raised in sponsorship or fundraising helps to fund the work of over 4,500 researchers, doctors and nurses dedicated to helping more people beat cancer.

Entry costs £12.99 per person. This covers the cost of organising and running your event on the day, which means that the sponsorship money you raise will go directly towards our work into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer. Unfortunately this fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you have any prepay vouchers, you will be able to redeem these against the entry fee for each participant that you enter. If you're entering more than one participant, you will need to know their postal address, email address and emergency contact details. You can enter up to 10 people online. If you would like to enter more than 10 people, please call our hotline on 0871 641 1111. For legal reasons, under 16s cannot enter individually, but can be included as part of a group registration. Entrants aged 16 and 17 can enter individually, but to enter other participants as part of a group registration, you must be over 18.
