A bit about us
Trying to find a fun, simple charity event or volunteer activity can feel like walking through a jungle. Blindfolded. With your shoe laces tied together.
Relax. That's why we're here.
Consider us your personal assistant for all the ways you help charities and support good causes. We're here to:
1. Find the coolest and quirkiest charity events and volunteer activities in your city so it's easier for you to have more fun and do more good.
Through having direct partnerships with charities we're able to bring you the absolute most fun and most simple stuff near you. There are thousands of events and activities out there, we focus on ones we think you are going to like best.
2. Keep track of all your good so you can inspire yourself and others to make a bigger difference in the world.
You record your work history on your resume, your thoughts in a journal and your doodles on the back of your hand. Why keep a record of all of your good?
After you sign up, your Leap Profile stores your past and upcoming charity events, volunteering, donations (exact amount is private) and even things you’ve purchased where part of the proceeds go to a good cause.
When all these events activities are recorded in one place it not only inspires you to do more, it inspires other people to do more.
Like on Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin, you can make your Leap Profile public so other people can see it, or you can make it private.

How does it work
Through partnering with over 250 charity partners like Oxfam, Wateraid, Nelson Mandela's 46664 Foundation, Madonna's charity Raising Malawi and being totally focussed on finding the most fun and simple ways to help charities we're able to offer you something unique.
100% free for individuals and charities
LeapAnywhere is 100% free for individuals and charities to join. Companies can access a premium paid-for product that aims to at least double a company’s current levels of employee participation in charitable activities.
Most of the events and volunteer activities are free. Some have a suggested charitable donation which you arrange with the charity or make a payment online. We don't handle any of your charitable donations and don't take a fee from them.
We launched in London in June 2009 and are excited to be heading to the US Spring 2010 (New York, Boston, Seattle, Austin, San Francisco)
The benefits
Individuals benefit through having fun, meeting new people and making a difference. Charities benefit through growing their supporter-base and raising more funds. Companies benefit through doing more in their communities. LeapAnywhere benefits because we can generate a sustainable revenue stream to invest in expanding the Leap concept around the world. It’s win win win win.
A bit about LeapAnywhereTV
LeapAnywhereTV an online TV-channel which films behind-the-scenes and entertaining action from celebrity charity events, homeless shelters and anywhere in-between.
Where did you come up with the name?
When we talked to people about our original idea of making it easy to have fun, doing good a lot of them were turned off by the old idea of 'charity' and 'volunteering'.
So we tried to think of another name. Sitting in a tiny flat namestorming with a random moon landing documentary on TV in the background we said, why not Leap?
Going to one charity event or just a single action for a worthwhile cause are just small steps for us as individuals. But millions of people getting involved in thousands of events and activities on a weekly basis is something more. That's a giant leap for mankind. A shift in how we live, through changing how we give. Cheesy we know. But that's the story.
A Leap is pretty much anything that is fun and benefits a good cause. It can be something seemingly trivial, like attending a music gig where a proportion of the ticket price goes to charity or something requiring a significant commitment like volunteering in Africa. Check out all the upcoming events for more.
