No hassle.  No chore.  No red-tape.

So you want to create your own event, for a good cause. Cool, you're in the right place! We've built the site especially for charity events, made by people just like you.

A bar night for Botswana?

A wet tee-shirt contest for Wateraid?

A jam session for Oxfam?

We have about 200 charity partners here on LeapAnywhere. You can organize an event for any one of them. If you want your event to raise money that's great.  It's 100% OK for your event just to raise awareness for a cause you care about though.  Consider it an excuse to have fun!

TIP: Create an event that is fun, clever and extraordinary in some way. You'll raise more awareness for your cause. And your friends will think you're a legend.

Ok, so what do I do?

1. Give the basics

Name, description, time, date, location, add any relevant links, like a website for the event.

2. Add a photo

Make it a good one. Also if you are raising money, you can enter your JustGiving widget code. This is available from your JustGiving page.

3. Select a charity

Select from the list of 200 charities or leave this blank if the charity is not currently a partner.

4. Select event topic

If your event is a music event, and you tag it 'music' it will be shown to people who have said they like music events.  Only if event is Public.

5. Invite friends

Via email, Facebook and/or Twitter

When you're done, you will have your own event page where people can join the event, comment and make donations (if you set up a JustGiving page and are using their widget).  Everything cool?

For an example of what an event page looks like click here.

When the event is over, come back to your event page and upload photos and videos.  You've got to make it last.  This will help spread the word about your cause, inspire other people to do similar events for a cause they care about.  Plus it'll show everyone how fun, clever and extraordinary you are.  Obviously.

LeapAnywhere team being cheeky.  We thought it'd be fun to do the World's Longest Street Row.  So we did it.  And it raised awareness and a little bit of money for Kids Company.

Whether you're inviting 5 people or 5,000 this is the best place to create, share and manage events that benefit good causes.
